Entry Requirements:

• Born in or after 1985

​

Program:

​​

• ONE Virtuosic Etude from Op.10 or Op.25 and a choice of any of the following:

  • a Preludes by Chopin (one of the following parts: 1-6, 7-12, 13-18, 19-24)

  • a whole opus of Chopin Mazurkas 

  • a Polonaise by Chopin 

• Any additional work by Chopin if playtime allows

The Repertoire:

The competitors should play the pieces from memory​.

 

Prizes:

 

• Total amount R15 000

• All South African participants receive a free of charge piano tuning and assessment.

The entry fee is not refundable, even in case of withdrawal or no-appearing for auditions.​
